2 Days Desert Tour from Marrakech to Zagora

Our knowledgeable drivers will pick you up from your lodging at 7:00 AM on the first day of your 2 days desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora in a cozy, air-conditioned 4WD vehicle or minibus. The Tizi-n-Tichka pass, which provides beautiful views of the lush mountain foothills, will be our first major pass as we travel over the High Atlas Mountains. Thereafter, the next stop on our journey will be Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. It is a renowned filming setting for many Hollywood productions and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Nature lovers will like the breathtaking view from the highest summit. Our next stop is Ouarzazate, dubbed “Hollywood of Africa,” where we’ll have lunch and tour the ancient Kasbah Taourirt. Our journey then continues via the scenic Draa Valley. It spans 180 km and is home to lush oasis.By late afternoon, we’ll reach Zagora, from where we’ll take a camel ride to our gypsy camp in the desert. Finally, you enjoy a nice meal as the day draws to a close while listening to traditional local music before retiring to your tent for the night.

You will be gently woken in the early morning hours of the second day of our two-day Zagora desert tour. You will witness the fascinating first rays of light, which signal the beginning of a new day and fresh experiences. Before riding our camels to head back to our vehicles, we’ll start the day with a typical Berber breakfast in one of Zagora’s bivouacs. Then, we’ll have lunch in Ouarzazate before continuing on our adventure and traversing the magnificent High Atlas Mountains.
